The story of Rose Baines continues in book two of Carole Gill's Blackstone Vampires!

Rose and her children find themselves held captive on a ship staffed by vampires, overseen by the mad and evil demon Eco. The last time Rose saw Eco he tried to destroy the children, and now he tells her he loves her.

“I saw you leave the house that day, Rose. That terrible day you discovered your family butchered. I saw you…”
Eco, believing he has fallen in love with her, pens a confession documenting all sins he has committed during his immortal existence.

From Ancient Egyptian vampire cults, Roman vampire brothels, The Dark Ages, The Crusades, The Black Death of 1348, on to his meeting with the child murderer and Satanist Gilles de Rais, and concluding with his wicked, blood-soaked affair with the Blood Countess herself, Erzebat Bathory. The pages are filled with debauchery, vice and murder – how can one stained with so much blood and evil possibly be trusted?

A brand new epic fantasy adventure!
Orphan, thief, healer, demon slayer.....What else will she become?
Sapphyre has always known she has some innate magical ability, but being an orphan growing up on the streets, she is both unaware of where it comes from or how to control it. For the last two winters she has served ale and food in the Dragon’s Flagon and until this evening, it has been rather uneventful. The stranger with the yellow eyes has accumulated a large stack of coin at the dice game and has attracted much attention. Sapphyre notices that with each winning roll, what looks like a tattoo of a cat’s eye lights up on the man’s neck. Glancing around the table, she is shocked to see that no one else can see it.

Sapphyre learns the stranger’s name, and listens to his tale the following day. Ashcon explains that he is a runestar, a defender of the light and the stars. He has runes, not tattoos, all over his body, that enable him certain powers. The runes can only be seen when he activates them, and even then only by extremely powerful practitioners of magic. Ashcon asks Sapphyre to join him and his companion Skken in the search for a man named Sorenthor, who will be able to determine why she can see his runes and from where her magic hails.

The first book in this epic fantasy series follows Sapphyre and her companions as they attempt to reach Sorenthor’s Library in the hopes of finding answers for Sapphyre, as to her true heritage. The meeting between Ashcon and Sapphyre has put into play ancient prophecies. The followers of the Zagador, the Dark Gods, led by Ashcon’s brother Drak’thonn, are spurred into motion and will stop at nothing to track down and destroy Ashcon and his companions, and plunge the world into Eternal Night.

The hunched figure sat on a three legged wooden stool, hooded head leaning over the container. Eyes unblinking, it peered intently into the murky miasma. Hands were raised and sleeves folded carefully back, before fingers were waved over the bowl in intricate patterns. At the same time, whispered incantations passed from tight, dry lips, attempting to invoke the aid of some otherworldly power...

Ollie and his crew are back! The Fibulan Museum has been burglarised and our intrepid detectives are appointed to solve the mystery, but they soon discover that this is no ordinary crime. During the course of their investigations, they find themselves undertaking a quest of quite literally epic proportions, in the hope that they will stave off disaster and avoid seeing Mrs. Ladle's legs.

Can Ollie and his friends defeat the forces of darkness?
Can they survive their treacherous journey?
Can Flug have an intelligent thought without having a stroke?

Read Cup and Sorcery today and find out!
